Today in Fashion at the Met New York City’s Museum of Arts renames its costume institute “The Anna Wintour Costume Center”. One of the most passionate, driven, Fashion forward, Inspiration multiplier, poised, well-behaved woman to walk the earth, Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor-in-chief, artistic director for Conde Nast and Met trustee for the past fifteen years. Times notes that Anna has raised “about $125 million for the costume institute alone”. Only fashion can turn a beautiful Monday into a day of style & grace and great recognition for a very powerful extraordinary woman.

It takes this type of woman to bring out First Lady Michelle Obama who eulogized Anna for her accomplishments and great contributions. The first lady looked very elegant in an emerald green, long sleeved floral Khan dress as she states, “Those of us blessed with the opportunity to succeed have an obligation to reach back and take others along with us,” before cutting the ribbon officially opening the new Anna Wintour Costume Center at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art.

“ The Anna Wintour Costume Center will be the home to exhibition galleries, a library, a conservation laboratory, research areas and offices. The center’s inaugural show is dedicated to master couturier, Charles James. The famed designer is credited with creating intricate and ornate pieces, as well as inspiring everyday wear like the infinity scarf, the wrap dress and the down jacket”.


In respect of the inauguration Fashions top designers established and new generation from Oscar de la Renta to Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Frustenberg, Stella McCartney, Donatella Versace to Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein too name a few. Were all-present to applaud the well-known yet private Fashion Queen.
