Fashion Vernacular: Fashion at the Met Gala 14’

On Monday May fifth two thousand and fourteen a very elegant party known as the annual Costume Institute gala took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. Fashionista’s world wide were in awe by beautiful influential women in well steamed ball gowns and powerful men in well tailored tuxedos walking down the red carpet in their finest. The gala honored a British-born designer by the name of Charles James, who brought revolution to the mid-century “Charles James defines taste and elegance” states model Karen Elson. On Fashions most glamorous day where viewers witnessed Michelle Obama, Donatella Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Conde Nast editors and executives all in the same room to honor Ms. Anna Wintour, which humbly showed her appreciation and gratitude.

“The Met Gala is that one event where you can be artistic as you want when it comes to fashion,” said the actress Zoe Saldana. “You don’t have to worry about hit-or-miss. You just enjoy the artistry of the fashion.”

After going through countless pictures of well-dressed women and dapper men at the Met, I couldn’t narrow it down to just five, so I went with ten. These twenty ladies and gentlemen have stylistically executed the definition of Fashion at the Met.
