Today we revisit Brandon Payne AKA. IAMPVYNE’s last full project Reality Check, which he dropped last year on 10.26. A special day to the emerging artist, it marks his mother’s Birthday, and 8 years since she passed away.
IAMPVYNE grew up in a church home, with his mother instilling in him the importance of God, the word, school, and how to be the best man he can be. Since her untimely home going, he has vowed to always uphold these values through his music. It was the love of music that helped him to get through losing a parent at the age of 16. While at times he has been homeless, carless, and jobless, he always lives by negativity being a thing of past even in the present.
The “Reality Check” EP is a snapshot that captures the last 24 years of young creatives life. Start out channel surfing with IAMPVYNE with a few snippets from the hit show Scandal, News Reports of police brutality, President Obama, and the intro to Friends. He takes you through where America was last year, and today we aren’t much further. “ Who ME?” he asks, “I’M PYVNE, a young homie from Lauderdale, with a college degree. I lost my mother 7 years ago, and this all is for her. But you’ll hear more about that.”
IAMPYNE has never let his transgressions of life hold him back from what his purpose is; and that is to create while his mother watches from the sky, high and proud. Lets wish his Mother a Happy Birthday today by Listening to Reality Check With IAMPVYNE’s Full confessions.
