Issa Rae proves that for the first time ever there is nothing wrong with being awkward, starting her career off in 2011 with a TV web-series titled “The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl” she quickly grabbed the attention of her audience as the series went viral through word of mouth. Rae worked on the web series for two years before sponsors and media outlets began to take her seriously but only after it went viral, six years later she is being faced with the opportunity to bring home a Golden Globe Award for best performance by an actress in a TV series for the work done on her new show “Insecure”.

The 32 year old actress has also been nominated for two NAACP Image Awards, one for outstanding actress and the other for outstanding writing in a comedy series, what a lot of people do not know is that Rae actually writes, produces and stars in all of her work, talk about a triple threat! Rae lets her viewers know that “Insecure” will be returning to HBO in 2017 however there is no set air date, this gives those who have not seen season one a chance to catch up on this hilarious comedy.

We will keep you updated on “insecure” air dates and thanks again Issa for making awkward acceptable.
